County Cork is Ireland's largest county and has a wealth to offer the visitor. Cork has a history that dates back hundreds of years, and there are traces of civilizations that date back to the stone age. In many ways it can be seen as a microcosm of the history of rural Ireland. It is in an excellent location for your stay in Ireland as the prime tourist attractions of the Lakes of Killarney and Blarney Castle are within easy reach. Cork city has a variety of cinemas, shops, museums, churches and amusements, etc.

Lee View Holiday Homes are within a fifteen minute drive to Cork City, Cork International Airport, Blarney Castle and Gardens and the multi-awarded Griffin's Garden Centre. This is an ideal location from which to base a stay in South Cork as all main roads lead to Cork City. You can access the N22 from Killarney, the N25 from Waterford and Rosslare, the N8 from Dublin and the N20 from Limerick City.

Your holiday in County Cork can be as full of adventure and excitement as you wish. But for those desiring a holiday of peace and quiet away from the mad rush of cities, Lee View Holiday Homes is a place of quiet roads, a haven of peace and relaxation in an unspoiled environment. Within minutes of the city you can be totally alone in the rolling green countryside and beautiful clean rivers with not a sound of traffic to be heard or another person to be seen.

Great restaurants and golf courses are all at hand. And for those interested in the water we have our own boat which can be hired. Bait, for course, is also available locally. Taxis can be hired at a minute's notice and if you wish we can help you arrange your flights, car hire or train tickets for you.
Now - how could you pass us up?

Coarse angling on Inniscarra Lake is a favorite pastime. Fishing during 1999 on The Lake was the best ever with record catches made. For example three English men in 1999 who fished on the Lake had weights of 168lbs., 144lbs. and 116lbs. In three weeks they caught a total of 1259lbs of fish!

The Lake is teeming with bream, rudd, skimmers, perch, trout and carp. Huge catches can be made using the usual methods such as pole or quiver tip and feeder. The Lake bottom slopes away rapidly in many areas so the Polaris float is more suitable than a normal waggler. A few thousand carp were introduced by local anglers and show occasionally, also a few tench. Enormous eels inhabit this Lake also but are rarely caught on anything but deadbaits.

There is also excellent salmon fishing down-river just two miles from Lee View Holiday Homes. A full list of baits is available and can be ordered in advance. It will be waiting for you in the freezer when you arrive, which enables you to go fishing immediately. We also have a 19" Anglers fancy boat with a 4hp outboard engine, insured for four, ideal for fly-fishing. Fishing at Lee View Holiday Homes is also very safe. Many visitors leave their equipment on the riverbank overnight and can be seen from the window of their accommodation.

Please note that a fishing license is required but we can help you obtain one. They cost as little as £5 per day, £8 per week or £15 per year for an adult ticket. Licenses for children cost £1 per day and £5 per year. For full details please see the South Munster Course Angling Club website.
